Welcome!  The type of artwork I do is hand painted acrylic collage in bright and fun colors! Almost every paper I use in my collage has been hand painted by me in a variety of different ways. Sometimes I paint with a brush, sometimes I use my hands, sometimes I just glob the paint all over the paper, it just depends. After the painting is all done and I have come up with a design I hand cut all the pieces individually, arrange them like a puzzle multiple times, dump them into a bag and continue doing this until I am ready to glue everything down to paper. Sometimes I have also used printed papers such a scrapbook papers and Japanese washi paper, newspaper, etc. but for the most part my collage is done with hand painted acrylic papers. Most of my artwork comes to me while I am walking or daydreaming, a lot of it is about things that would be fun to see! My artwork has been shown both internationally and locally in the U.S.

 

Now a little about me: Spadazzle is an artist that lives in Japan just outside Yokohama.  Almost half of her adult life has been spent living overseas in exciting and beautiful places such as Guam, Okinawa and now Japan.  Besides creating artwork she teaches English part time to children ages 3-12, she also teaches art classes from her home.  In her spare time she enjoys taking long walks and wondering around Japan trying to get lost and finding new things:)
